Nokia brought me to Las Vegas and provided this experience for the purposes of testing their smartphones. However, as it always is here, my opinion about the experience is mine alone and I was not required to write anything in particular or to abide by any dictated message.
When I had the chance to travel to Las Vegas recently for an experience that promised everything BUT the strip and the neon lights, I jumped at the chance to go! Especially when I was told we’d visit Red Rock. It seemed like the trip organizers at Nokia really understood me from the first line of the pitch about what our trip would entail. I saw the words, ‘nature’ and ‘cowboys’ and I knew I could exhale and find a few minutes of peace and happiness.
We spent an afternoon and evening outside downtown, in Red Rock Canyon, and it was my personal favorite experience from the trip. It came complete with a trail ride, sunset over the mountains, steaks on the grill and cowboys singing around the campfire. There were even s’mores. My dear friend, C.C. Chapman, was there and I made a few new friends like photographer Pei Ketron (who I’ve followed online for forever). The views in Red Rock were stunning and time just seemed to slow down to that exact pace that allowed me to savor every single moment.
I captured it all with only Nokia 1020 and 1520 smartphones, never needing to worry about dropping a camera while horseback riding or getting dust in a lens.
You can have the same experience we did by booking with Cowboy Trail Rides. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and had all the gear we needed to have a safe, fun and [truly] delicious experience [STEAKS ON A GRILL!!!]. It was quite luxurious in the level of service and thought that went into the entire day, while allowing us to be outdoors in tune with the land.
