When AFAR Magazine sent me to Belize in May for the 7×7 project, I was tasked with exploring all 7 regions of the country to
- write a story which will appear in the October issue,
- create 49 highlights about Belize for AFAR’s online travel guide and
- take part in a video teaser for the country of Belize.
From jungle to off-shore island to motel to luxury hotel to fruit stand and family restaurant, I think we did a pretty good job of making sure “no stone was left unturned” in Belize.
The trip seems as if it took place forever ago now. I’m on pins and needles waiting for the October issue to come out. In the meantime the digital component is finally live. Check it out here to get a taste of just how wonderful a country Belize is. I think it should be on every traveler’s bucket list!
