Muir Woods & Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco - Kirsten Alana

Muir Woods & Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco

During a recent engagement session in the Bay Area of California, I took a few additional photographs to record the beauty of the locations we chose.  I hope you enjoy these “out-takes” from our afternoon together, in and around San Francisco!

Muir Woods is my favorite place to visit in the city — though it’s really just outside it — and I already can’t wait to go back for longer. Plan your visit starting with the NPS page about Muir Woods. I highly recommend going early on the days they have special operating hours.

Unlike Muir Woods, which is outside the city, the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco‘s Golden Gate Park is conveniently located for visitors staying in the city or not exploring beyond its limits. It’s a wonderful antidote to the “hustle and bustle” of downtown.

This was my favorite of the California entries. I love the Asian flavor.
