I have received a complimentary The Hudson bag from ONA and a day trip to Hudson, NY was paid for by the brand for the purposes of this announcement. I am not being compensated for this feature nor was I required to share it. All opinions are my own.
I’m excited today, to announce a collaboration between two of my favorite brands: ONA Bags et Zio & Sons. Their partnership has resulted in The Hudson. It is part camera bag, part laptop bag slash all around perfect city or travel bag for people like me who get really tired of carrying heavy things in a one shoulder bag. As in, I literally have physical pain from my messenger bags and my purses these days. A chic backpack is what has been missing from my life.
…was inspired by This Old Hudson, which I visited last week with a group of creatives from New York City. I took an Amtrak train from Penn up to the town of Hudson and then met up with the group at the lovely W.M. Farmer and Sons. We noshed on a few snacks there, viewed some guests rooms and got to know one another before walking around town. Then we shopped for antiques at stores such as Red Chair before pausing to nosh on the most delectable pizza + Italian wine at Oak Pizza Napoletana.
Having followed Anthony, founder of Zio & Sons as well as This Old Hudson, online for what feels like forever, I was thrilled to find out he and his recommendations for the town of Hudson are as awesome as it seems they would be online. And This Old Hudson, which is his vision for a modern guesthouse in Hudson, lives up to the hype. This is where we ended our day. It was wonderful to meet Anthony’s wife Hillary at This Old Hudson, where she shared some of her knowledge as wine expert and a few lovely wines from Spain.
I’ve been using ONA bags for many years now, so it was also no surprise to find out that The Hudson is a bag in line with all their others. It is expertly crafted, beautifully designed and thoughtful in detail. I can’t wait to carry mine around the city as well as when I travel.
All other images of The Hudson, and our day in the town of, in this post are mine. But here are some photos of the bag itself, courtesy of ONA Bags:
The Hudson features a dedicated area for a 13” laptop and a fully-removable padded camera insert that fit seamlessly inside the backpack. The insert can accommodate 1 DSLR camera with a lens attached and 1-2 additional lenses. Oh and this year, $10 from every bag purchased on the ONA Bags website supports grants for emerging storytellers through their Storytelling Fund. I love that! Shop The Hudson via this link.
