Vanguard ALTA Fly 55T test in Michigan

Earlier this summer I spent some time in Michigan with family. While there I checked in on one of my very favorite camera gear companies: Vanguard Photo. They make lots of products but I primarily use their tripods and their bags. Spoiler alert, I love them!

When they asked if I’d be willing to spend the day with them testing the Vanguard ALTA Fly 55T, it was a no brainer to say yes. We also filmed a promotional video in Detroit which is such an underrated city!

Verdict on the Vanguard ALTA Fly 55T:

I really enjoyed using the Vanguard ALTA Fly 55T. This is a good bag for multiple situations. It can hold 1-2 pro dSLRs, 4-5 lenses and a flash. And it has a padded, interior 14″ laptop sleeve and dual color dividers useful for a drone set-up. There is also a removable padded insert with dividers which is useful if you want to use the bag for a combination of gear and clothes for shorter trips.

Bryan, graphic designer extraordinaire at Vanguard Photo, took these photos of me during the shoot for the Vanguard ALTA Fly 55T:Vanguard ALTA Fly 55T test in Michigan

Vanguard does not pay me to talk about them but they are generous with sharing gear and they’re just the nicest people that I’ve come across in the gear part of the photography industry! For that reason, I choose to support them in any way I can.
