I love working with brands that I already utilize or am familiar with and who I like (do you hear that Guinness …) Expedia is no exception. Having used their site for what feels like forever, when they approached me in January to represent them at Sundance, I was all too happy to say yes because the opportunity combined so many things I enjoy with a brand I was happy to continue supporting.
Now, I host #ExpChat on twitter a few times a month and it’s always a good time because Expedia really seems to know how to ask questions that stir the pot [in a good way] and provide a few hours of travel-themed fun for all involved.
Expedia’s latest project that I have enjoyed being a part of is their Summer Sale! Who doesn’t love a sale during the summer? Or any time! There’s a great Facebook app that’s all about getting away to one of my favorite places: the beach — and even if you can’t hop a plane this minute, it’s a virtual way to get a little bit of sand between your toes right now. You’ll even learn something new. I learned that Singapore is a destination I should consider and honestly, that was never even on my radar until I took their Beachgoer Quiz! It turns out that the beach is by far the favorite destination for the majority of the world’s travelers and the average beach getaway is one week long. That’s not enough in my opinion!
What else can you learn? Lots of things, with their Flip Flop Report:
62% of Mexicans like dancing on the beach? Definitely didn’t know that. I am in favor of dancing anywhere and everywhere! Also, I am highly tolerant of sharks and all of the ocean’s creatures. As long as they are tolerant of me!
Whether you’re currently traveling or whether you are stuck in an office…wherever you are, enjoy the Beachgoer Quiz and I hope you learn something new. If you’re the type that looks for Zen getaways — you might just find me at the end of the quiz with a little advice for you. The 2012 Summer Sale began on May 15 and runs through August 31, 2012.
See you on the water!
Haha I knew Canadians had to be right up there, as soon as February hits we are looking for the first all-inclusive we can get down South.
Oh! Great analyze you had given. The result is clear that German likes beach more then other countries in worldwide. Thanks for sharing such a nice information with us
I feel the same way about Expedia. I’ve used them for years and I think it’s great that they are starting to see the value in working with bloggers. I’m curious though, what exactly does shark tolerance mean?
I am surprised to see that Germans loves the beach more. Anyways thanks for sharing this brief graphical comparison.
