My Summer Essentials with Lillet

This summer, Lillet US challenged me to think about my summer essentials and it turns out, the list isn’t a long one…

This post is Sponsored by Lillet as part of a paid campaign. All opinions and images are my own.

Since we’ve recently moved from New York City to Los Angeles, my goal this summer when I am not gone on assignment – is to keep things simple.

When I’m not traveling, I want to get to know my new home city. The best way to do that has been to be out of doors as much as possible. Preferably, with my partner Danté. From our home base in West Hollywood, it has proven to be very easy to get to lots of outdoor spaces that have helped me fall in love with my new home.

Whether I am out or whether I am at our apartment, I love to have a little bit of my very favorite country [France] with me. Lillet, a French aperitif wine, is that perfect addition to summer outings to the beach, the park, a favorite lookout spot or just the long evenings at home on our balcony which looks out over the whole of the city! >> Watch my latest video for more! << My Summer Essentials with Lillet My Summer Essentials with Lillet

My favorite Lillet cocktail to make is the Spritz, with:

  • Lillet Blanc or Rouge
  • Elderflower-infused Tonic Water
  • a fruit Garnish
    — the classic combo is Cucumber and Strawberry but I use whatever I have on hand

Refreshing and easy, that cocktail has been a welcome guest on so many of my adventures.

AND….

I even found Lillet when I was visiting Liverpool recently. A bar I happened into by chance featured two kinds of froze, one made with Lillet Blanc and the other with Lillet Rouge. That definitely felt like an essential on a hot afternoon after a long walk all over the city taking in the Liverpool Biennial! I had to try them both!

Now, if only I could make them at home as easily as I can “whip up” the Spritz.
