This recent, mega magical sunset which I photographed at Hermosa Beach in California, brought to you by:
– nature, which is freaking awesome,
– Dante’s VW which he drove us in to the beach,
– my Sony RX1 RII which I love so much you will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands.
I honestly had a moment during this night in Hermosa Beach, where I almost started crying because I am so darn grateful to [now] live in a state like California where this type of sunset can be a regular occurrence in my life during the times I’m not traveling. We don’t live in Hermosa Beach but it’s easy to get to. So are so many other beaches that all afford opportunities such as this one.
Even though it seems like my country is splintering apart and some days it is hard to hold on to hope, I know that within the borders of the state I call home there are sooo many people fighting the good fight, inventing things that are changing the world for the better and making sure that on their watch…
Hope is never lost.
Did you catch that, that we moved to California? That’s right! Danté and I are now residing in Los Angeles. I shared my initial thoughts about the move here and then here. Danté writes more about the big decision in this post.
